TinyPDF is a lightweight web tool built for one purpose — helping you shrink bulky PDF files so they're easier to store, send, and share. We launched in 2025 after running into the same frustration you probably have now: email attachments bouncing back, upload limits ruining deadlines, and generic "compressors" that slapped watermarks on every page.

Our philosophy

• Privacy first. Uploaded files are securely stored and may be retained for internal R&D, while the compressed results are auto-deleted after 5 minutes. Your files never leave our servers for processing.
• No clutter. One clean drag-and-drop zone. No pop-ups, no signup walls.
• Modern tech. We use modern, open standards to process your documents as safely and as efficiently as possible.

Who's behind it?

TinyPDF is an independent project maintained by a small team of developers and security engineers based in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Atlanta, GA (USA). We believe in building useful, private, and straightforward tools. We self-fund the project and keep the lights on via unobtrusive ads — there's no venture capital pushing us to harvest or sell your data.
